Paris Fashion Week has always been the place where newcomers either whisper their arrival… or kick the doors open. This season, IZSEL did the latter—quite literally—with a runway debut that turned heads, raised eyebrows, and proved that practicality and high fashion can share the same spotlight.

Elizabeth Solomeina and the team at Flying Solo curated a show that was captivating, innovative, collaborative and executed with perfection!

What a privilege it was to be surrounded by such extraordinary talent in the beautiful setting of La Galerie Bourbon which you may recognise from the television series Emily In Paris.

Models strode through a versatile set that echoed wet pavements and reflective city nights, together with looks that could take you from day to night with ease.

A Debut With Purpose:

IZSEL’s arrival wasn’t just about footwear—it was about reframing utility as luxury. In a world where climate unpredictability is the new normal, the brand’s perspective felt refreshingly honest. Instead of pretending the rain doesn’t exist, IZSEL (and Paris) embraced it.

The boots weren’t just accessories; they were the anchor of the collection. Their presence on the runway signaled a shift in how fashion can respond to real life without sacrificing artistry.

Why Everyone’s Talking About It

Fashion insiders love a good disruption, and IZSEL delivered one with charm. The rainboots became the conversation piece of the week—not because they were quirky, but because they were smart. They felt like the kind of item that could live in both a street-style gallery and an everyday wardrobe.

Editors praised the brand’s clarity of vision. Buyers took notes. Influencers were already planning outfits before the final model exited.

IZSEL didn’t just debut; they arrived with a point of view.

What This Means for the Season Ahead

If Paris is any indication, expect to see more designers leaning into functional fashion with elevated aesthetics. And expect IZSEL’s water resistant footwear (and apparel) to pop up everywhere—from magazine spreads to rainy-day commutes.

Their debut was a reminder that fashion doesn’t have to float above reality. Sometimes, it can splash right through it.
